II.    Scope of the processing of personal data

Any information which may allow a natural person to be identified, directly or indirectly, such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier or which identifies that natural person physically, physiologically, genetically, mentally, economically, culturally or socially is considered personal data. As a matter of principle, we collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our contents and services. The collection and use of personal data of our users is regularly only carried out with the consent of the user. An exception is made in cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by law. The processing of personal data is carried out exclusively according to the principles of Art. 5 DSGVO.

III.    Data collection on our website

In the following we would like to inform you about which personal data we process.

1.    Log files/Processing of IP addresses

You can visit our site without providing personal data. However, our system will temporarily save your IP address. This also represents a personal date, so that we have to inform you about it.

In order to make the site available to you, it is necessary for the information to be recorded by the computer system of the calling computer (server log files). This information consists of the following data: Name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data). The access data is used exclusively for the purpose of delivering the website content. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context. All access data will be deleted at the latest seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. There is therefore no possibility of objection on the part of the user.

2.    Transfer of data to third parties

Your personal data may be transferred to third parties if you have expressly given your consent, if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on your behalf, as described below.

3.    Contact form and e-mail contact

We offer you the possibility to contact us via our e-mail address for any kind of question. Data will be processed for the purpose of contacting us in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DSGVO on the basis of your voluntarily given consent. The personal data collected by us for the purpose of contacting you will be automatically deleted after the request you have made has been dealt with. This personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

4.   Registration and opening of a customer account

We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide us with this information as part of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide us with for the purpose of contract processing and handling your enquiries. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial law retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this which is legally permitted and about which we inform you below. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or by using a function in the customer account intended for this purpose.

5.    E-mail newsletters and postal advertising

5.1.    E-mail advertising with newsletter registration and your right of objection

You have the possibility to register for our newsletter. The newsletter is sent via HubSpot, a service of HubSpot Inc. (25 First Street, 2nd Floor Cambridge, MA 02141 United States). HubSpot is a U.S.-based software company with European headquarters in Ireland (One Dockland Central, Dublin 1, Ireland) and is subject to the TRUSTe Privacy Seal and the U. S. Code of Conduct. S-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U. S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework.

The information you enter in the input mask when registering for the newsletter is transmitted to the editorial system and used for the purpose of sending the newsletter (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

Through a "double opt-in" procedure, we ensure that you are the actual owner of the e-mail address you have provided. For this purpose we will record the following

•    your consent to receive the newsletters,

•    the sending of the confirmation mail and

•    your confirmation of the confirmation mail by clicking on the link.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data and its use for the newsletter at any time. To do so, either use the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or get in touch with the contact indicated in this privacy policy. After unsubscribing, we will delete your e-mail address unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use your data in a way that is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this declaration.

5.2.    E-mail advertising without registration for the newsletter and your right of objection

If we receive your e-mail address in connection with the sale of a product or service and you have not objected to this, we reserve the right to send you regular offers by e-mail on similar products from our product range to those already purchased. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in advertising to our customers, which outweigh any other interests. The legal basis for sending the newsletter as a result of the sale of goods or services is § 7 para. 3 UWG. You can object to this use of your e-mail address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the advertising mail, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. The newsletter is sent in the context of a processing on our behalf by HubSpot, to which we pass on your e-mail address for this purpose. This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

5.3.    Postal advertising and your right of objection

Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and - insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the scope of the contractual relationship - your title, academic degree, year of birth and your professional, industry or business designation in summarized lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information on our products by post. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests in addressing our customers in advertising, which outweigh any other interests. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

6.    Cookies and analysis tools used

We use so-called cookies on our website. These are small text files that are copied from a web server to your hard disk. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot execute programs or place viruses on your computer. Cookies can be blocked by your browser. The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers explains how and to what extent you can prevent new cookies or generally disable the use of cookies. In this case, however, we can no longer offer you some of the functions of our website.

We use the following tracking and analysis tools:

6.1.    Google Analytics

This website uses the web analysis service Google Analytics (module "Universal" including anonymous IP function). The provider is Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. On the basis of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has established an adequate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield. The purpose of the data collection is to analyse the flow of visitors to our website. Google uses the data and information obtained to evaluate the use of our website in order to compile online reports for us. Google Analytics places a cookie in your browser. By setting the cookie, Google is able to analyse the use of our website. Each time you access a website on which a Google Analytics component has been integrated, the Internet browser is automatically prompted to transmit data to Google. No personal data is transmitted to Google. The IP address collected by us is only forwarded to Google after anonymisation.

Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer to enable an analysis of your use of this website. The usage information generated in this way is usually transferred to a US-American Google server and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

It is possible to object to the collection and processing of this data by Google. To do so, you must download and install a browser add-on under this link.

Alternatively to the browser plug-in, you can click on diesen Link.

Further information and Google's applicable privacy policy can be found here.

can be called up. Google Analytics is explained in more detail under this link.

6.2.    HubSpot

We use HubSpot, a service of HubSpot Inc. on our website for the purpose of online marketing. (25 First Street, 2nd Floor Cambridge, MA 02141 United States). HubSpot is a US software company with European headquarters in Ireland (One Dockland Central, Dublin 1, Ireland) and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. HubSpot is a web content management and marketing automation system that we use to create and manage our websites and to optimize our marketing efforts. On some of our pages it is possible to download content developed by us (e.g. e-books, checklists or white papers) after filling out a form. In this context, we collect contact information and, if applicable, information on the demographics and origin of our visitors. This information is stored on HubSpot's servers. With this stored data we can contact our visitors and find out in advance which of our services might be interesting for you.

We use the following applications: Forms, Lead flows, Ads.

The purpose of data collection is to analyze user behavior on our website. Based on the information obtained from the analysis, we can provide you with personalised content. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

In a hub spot application, so-called "web beacons" (called web bugs or tracking pixels) are used and cookies are also set, which are stored on your computer and enable us to analyse your use of the website. The information collected (e.g., IP address, geographic location, browser type, length of visit and pages viewed) is analyzed by HubSpot on our behalf to generate reports about the visit and the pages visited.

Web counter pixels are tiny graphics with a unique identifier. Their function is similar to that of cookies, and they are used to track the online movements of web users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, web tracking pixels are invisibly embedded in websites or emails and are about the size of the dot at the end of this sentence. We use tracking pixels in our HTML-based emails to track which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of certain communications and our marketing campaigns. We combine the information collected by tracking pixels in emails with the personal information of our customers. We use all information collected solely to improve our marketing efforts.

If you generally do not want HubSpot to collect your data, you can prevent the storage of cookies at any time by changing your browser settings accordingly or assert your data subject rights at HubSpot. Upon request, HubSpot will inform you whether HubSpot has stored personal data about you. To exercise your rights as a data subject, please contact HubSpot, Inc. by e-mail to privacy@hubspot.com or by mail to HubSpot, Inc. , 25 First Street, 2nd Floor, Cambridge, MA 02141 USA, Attention: Privacy.

For more information about how HubSpot works, please refer to the HubSpot Inc. privacy policy.

6.3.    Hotjar

This website uses the Hotjar analysis and feedback tool (Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe). Passive data collection of randomly selected users is used to optimise the website and improve the user experience. In addition to the recording of interactions (such as clicks and mouse movements), other information such as date, time, browser information is collected and stored anonymously. This allows user preferences, but also technical problems of the site, to be identified and processed. This information is not personal data. The data is evaluated for statistical purposes. Hotjar will not pass them on to third parties. The purpose of data collection is to optimise our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

By setting the DoNotTrack header in your browser, you can object to the collection of data on this website. However, if you delete cookies, use a different browser or the private mode/incognito mode, data will be collected again. Here you can deactivate data collection for Hotjar: https://www.hotjar.com/opt-out

6.4.    AddThis

On our website we use plugins of the AddThis service, which is operated by AddThis LLC, 1595 Spring Hill Rd, Suite 300, Vienna, VA 22182, USA ("AddThis"). AddThis provides tools for the creation and design of websites (www.addthis.com), which should make it easier for website visitors to share the current page with other Internet users via e-mail or in social networks. You can recognize the plugins by the "Tweet", "E-Mail", "LinkedIn" and "g+1" buttons integrated on parts of our website. AddThis also provides tools for website operators to help them analyze and improve the use of their own website or to enable a direct user approach. AddThis also uses cookies and web beacons (small graphics, "counting pixels", which enable log file recording and log file analysis). If you use an AddThis plugin, your internet browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of AddThis and, if applicable, to the selected social network. The data generated (such as time of use or browser language) is transferred to AddThis and processed there. If you send content from our website to social networks, a connection can be established between your visit to the website and your user profile with the corresponding social network. The purpose of the data collection is to analyse visitor flows and to optimise our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

The person concerned can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of a corresponding setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such a setting of the Internet browser used would also prevent AddThis from setting a cookie on the information technology system of the person concerned. Furthermore, cookies already set by AddThis can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programs.

The data subject also has the opportunity to permanently object to the processing of personal data by AddThis. To do so, the data subject must press the opt-out button under the link http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out, which sets an opt-out cookie. The opt-out cookie set with the objection is stored on the information technology system used by the data subject. If the cookies are deleted on the data subject's system after an objection, the data subject must call up the link again and set a new opt-out cookie. However, with the setting of the opt-out cookie there is a possibility that the Internet pages of the data controller may no longer be fully usable by the data subject. Further information on data processing and data protection by AddThis can be found at: http://www.addthis.com/privacy/privacy-policy

6.5.    etracker

This site uses etracker, the web analysis service of etracker GmbH (Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany) to analyze usage data. Cookies are used to enable a statistical analysis of the use of this website by our visitors and to display usage-related content or advertising. The data generated by these cookies is processed and stored by etracker on our behalf exclusively in Germany and is therefore subject to the strict German and European data protection laws and standards. etracker has been independently tested, certified and awarded the ePrivacyseal data protection seal of approval. The data processing is based on the legal provisions of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit f DSGVO (legitimate interest) and serves to optimize our online offer and our web presence. As the privacy of our visitors is important to us, the data which may allow a reference to an individual person, such as the IP address, registration or device IDs, are anonymised or pseudonymised as soon as possible. No other use, combination with other data from etracker or transfer to third parties will take place.

You can object to the aforementioned data processing at any time, provided it is personal. Read more about this

6.6.    Facebook-Pixel

Facebook: In order to enable user group controlled marketing in social networks, a tracking of the social media service Facebook Inc. is integrated on this website by means of a pixel. When you visit our website, the pixel is loaded by your web browser. In the process, information is sent to Facebook. This includes information about whether Facebook cookies are set in your browser. This information is used to assign the browser session to a person. This assignment is pseudonymised and only takes place on the basis of a Facebook ID, so that no personal reference can be established for us. It is possible to object to behavior-based advertising. If you check this box, an opt-out cookie will be set in your browser. You can make additional settings for advertising on Facebook in your user profile.

6.7.    LinkedIn Insights

We use the re-targeting tool LinkedIn Conversion Tracking from LinkedIn Ireland (Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland). For this purpose, our website incorporates the LinkedIn Insight tag (a small JavaScript tag), which allows LinkedIn to collect statistical, pseudonymous information about your visit and use of our website and to provide us with aggregated statistics based on this information. The purpose of the data collection is to analyse visitor flows and to optimise our website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

On the basis of the information collected, we can display interest-specific and relevant offers and recommendations after you have expressed an interest in certain services, information and offers on the website. The relevant information is stored in a cookie. You can prevent the storage of cookies via a browser setting. Alternatively, you can object to this form of data processing by clicking here to set an opt-out cookie which will remain on your device until you delete the cookies. This option is available to both LinkedIn members and non-members: Notes on LinkedIn Conversion Tracking. Further information can also be found in the LinkedIn privacy policy.

7.    Social Media Plugins

7.1    Use of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Plugins

Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") from the social networks Facebook, the microblogging services Twitter and Instagram. These services are provided by the companies Facebook Inc. Twitter Inc. and Instagram LLC. ("Provider").

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ) ("Facebook"). An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here

Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc. (1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA94103, USA) ('Twitter'). An overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance can be found here

Instagram is operated by Instagram LLC. (1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA) ("Instagram"). An overview of the Instagram buttons and their appearance can be found here

If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. Through the integration of the plugin, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly assign the visit to our website to your profile on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like", "Twitter" or "Instagram" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published on the social network, on your Twitter or Instagram account and displayed to your contacts.

The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as your rights and settings options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the providers' data protection information.

Privacy policy of Facebook

Privacy policy of Twitter

Privacy policy of Instagram

If you do not want Google, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to associate the data collected via our website directly with your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the respective service before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of the plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript". (http://noscript.net/).

7.2    YouTube Plugin

In the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offer, we use plugins of the Google service YouTube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. , San Bruno, CA 94066, USA). This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. When you visit our site, this establishes a connection to the servers of YouTube and informs them that you are visiting our site. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube assigns your user behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy, please refer to the YouTube privacy policy

7.3    Use of AddThis Plugins (z. B. „Share“-Button)

Our website uses so-called social plugins ("Plugins") of the AddThis bookmarking service, which is operated by AddThis LLC, Inc. 8000 Westpark Drive, Suite 625, McLean, VA 2210, USA ("AddThis"). The plugins are usually marked with an AddThis logo, for example in the form of a white plus sign on an orange background. An overview of the AddThis plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://www.addthis.com/get/sharing

If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of AddThis. The content of the plugin is transmitted by AddThis directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through the integration AddThis receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website and saves a cookie on your end device to identify your browser. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to an AddThis server in the USA and stored there. AddThis uses the data to create anonymous user profiles, which serve as a basis for personalized and interest-related advertising to visitors of Internet sites with AddThis plug-ins. For the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by AddThis, please refer to AddThis's data protection information

If you would like to object to the data collection by AddThis for the future, you can set a so-called opt-out cookie, which you can download here.

You can also completely prevent the loading of the AddThis plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example with the script blocker "NoScript (http://noscript.net/).

7.4    LinkedIn Share Plugin

On our website you will find plug-ins from the social network LinkedIn or the LinkedIn Corporation (2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Each time you access one of our pages that contains LinkedIn features, a connection to LinkedIn servers is established. LinkedIn will be notified that you have visited our sites using your IP address. If you click on LinkedIn's "Recommend Button" and are logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn is able to track your visit to our site to you and your account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by LinkedIn.

For further information, please refer to the LinkedIn privacy policy

You can find out more about this here.

8.3.    Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows marketers to manage website tags through one interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal information. The tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If disabled at the domain or cookie level, it will remain disabled for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Learn more.
