Pimcore POCL license 2025: What you need to know now

With Pimcore version 2025.1, the Pimcore Open Core License (POCL) replaces GPLv3. A commercial license is mandatory for companies with an annual turnover of over €5 million. Pimcore 2024.4 was the last GPLv3 version - support ends at the end of 2026.

Action required for existing GPLv3 installations: Security updates for Pimcore ≤ 2024.4 expire at the end of 2026. A structured migration path should be planned now, not under time pressure. Blackbit will guide you through the license audit, upgrade planning and secure migration.
