On April 14, 2026, we were honored as Pimcore Store Partner of the Year 2025 at the Pimcore Inspire in Salzburg. David Gottschalk (CSO) and Dennis Korbginski (CTO) accepted the award on behalf of the entire Blackbit team.
We are delighted to accept this award - because it shows what happens when deep platform expertise meets real commerce responsibility. And because it stands for the work of many: for a team that not only implements Pimcore, but also develops and operates it on a daily basis and grows with the ecosystem.
We have been a certified Pimcore partner since 2013. Today, we are a Pimcore Platinum Partner - not on paper, but in practice.
What that means in concrete terms:
- 105+ realized Pimcore projects in B2B and B2C, in sectors ranging from industry and wholesale to food and retail to events and tourism
- 35+ certified Pimcore experts at Blackbit
- 400+ features and bug fixes that we have actively contributed to Pimcore Core
Pimcore is a conscious decision for us - for projects that require complex product data, deep system integrations and long-term platform responsibility. We use Pimcore where it has its strongest leverage: as a foundation for product data, as the core of a commerce architecture, as a basis for growth.
As a Store Partner, we have published three bundles in the official Pimcore Store: the Blackbit Data Director, the BMEcat Import/Export Bundle and Pimcore Single Sign-on. They are not a by-product of our agency work - they arose from real project requirements and are now used worldwide, far beyond our own projects. The Blackbit Data Director is our best-known product: import, export, automation and workflows for Pimcore - no programming required, configurable directly in the backend. It is used in almost all of our Pimcore projects.
What sets us apart as a store partner goes beyond bundles. It is the experience of making Pimcore really work in complex commerce architectures - as a foundation for product data, as an integration core between ERP, store and marketplace, as a basis for scalable digital experiences.
We use Pimcore in different architecture models - depending on requirements, budget and growth targets: as a native commerce layer with CoreShop, as a PIM master in combination with SaaS platforms such as Shopware or BigCommerce, or as part of a fully sovereign headless architecture with Vendure. Choosing the right model is strategic - and it starts with the data.
Product data that is properly modeled, fully maintained and consistent across systems is not an IT issue. It is a sales lever: for SEO visibility, for conversion, for automated processes - and increasingly for AI applications that need to be based on valid data.
In our Pimcore e-commerce architecture guide, we have prepared a detailed overview of which architecture model is right for your company - including the current POCL license model and a comparison of all four models according to eleven criteria.
Inspire 2026 has made one thing clear: Pimcore is consistently developing in the direction of governed data architecture and AI integration. With Platform Version 2026.1 - just announced at Inspire - Pimcore Studio becomes the only official interface. The Classic Admin UI is no longer available. For companies running Pimcore today, this means
Now is the right time to review migration needs and evaluate bundles for Studio compatibility.
An award like this is not an end in itself. It is a signal - for customers who are looking for a Pimcore partner who not only implements, but also takes responsibility in the long term.
What's behind it: real projects, real complexity, real responsibility. Product data that is not only maintained, but also leads to SEO impact, conversion and stable systems. A partnership that grows with the platform - and helps to shape the platform.
This is our understanding of commerce engineering. And the reason why we are happy to accept this award.
Whether it's a new project, platform migration to Studio UI, data director evaluation or architecture consulting - we look forward to talking to you.
