Digital Commerce Blog - Blackbit

A New Website. And a New Chapter.

Written by Jana Hartmann | 04/15/26

We have relaunched our website - and this is more than just a relaunch. It is the visible expression of a development that has long since begun for us.

For over 35 years, we have been helping companies to be successful in digital commerce. We have seen a lot during this time: the rise of e-commerce, the explosion of platforms and tools, the growing complexity of systems and processes - and most recently a shift that is fundamentally changing the market.

A modern online store, a strong website, a well-organized campaign - that is no longer a competitive advantage today. It is the basic requirement. What makes the difference is something else: how reliably systems run. How measurable growth is. How responsibly technology is used. And who stands by your side in the long term - not only during the launch, but also during operation and continuous further development.
This is exactly what our new website reflects. And that's exactly who we are.

From Generalist to Partner

Blackbit continues to evolve - from a traditional digital commerce generalist to a commerce engineering & growth partner with responsibility for the upper DACH midmarket.

This development was not a sudden decision. It is the result of many conversations with clients, from which we have heard the same thing over and over again: We don't need an agency that delivers a project and disappears. We need a partner who thinks along with us, takes responsibility and grows with us.

If you really want to be digitally successful today, you need stable systems, reliable data, a clear measurement of ROI - and a partner who will still be there after go-live.

Our answer to this is: Build - Run - Grow.

Build. Run. Grow. - A Model That Fits Reality.

On our new website, we structure our services into three areas that describe how we work with customers in practice:
Build - We design and develop scalable digital commerce architectures and platforms. From data strategy to PIM and store to individual integration.

Run - We operate these platforms reliably, securely and efficiently. With SLO-based operation, server-side tracking, compliance by design and a real sense of responsibility for what we have built.

Grow - We continuously develop them further: data-driven, AI-supported, with a focus on measurable impact. SEO, SEA, conversion optimization, lifecycle and loyalty.

Three areas. One team. One KPI set. No handover to nowhere.

RResponsibility Ownership: What This Means for You

Parallel to our change in content, we are taking another step that is very close to our hearts: Blackbit is on the path to responsible ownership.

This means that we are permanently anchoring our responsibility towards customers, employees and society in our corporate structure - not as a promise, but as a legally sound basis. Profits flow into the further development of the company and into what we are building together - not into external return targets.

For our customers, this means that they have a partner who thinks long-term. Who is not waiting for the next exit. Who makes decisions based on the same standards as you: quality, reliability, sustainable impact.

We believe that this is the basis for genuine, long-term partnerships. And that's exactly what we want to be.

New: The Blackbit Academy - Exclusively for Our Customers

With the relaunch, we are also introducing the Blackbit Academy - a protected area that is exclusively accessible to our customers.
The Academy is the place where we share relevant practical knowledge: Best practices from projects, guides to tools and methods, insights into platforms and digital strategies. We have moved this area from an external platform to HubSpot - to bring it closer to our everyday work and to continuously develop it with valuable content in the future.

More content, more formats, more added value - that's our plan. And you'll always be the first to benefit.

A Development, Not a Revolution

We want to be honest: This is not a radical break. Much of what we are formulating as a repositioning today is something we have been doing for a long time. We have always thought long-term. We have always taken responsibility. And we have always tried to bring technology and humanity together.

What is changing is the clarity with which we communicate this externally. And the courage to say: we are not the right partner for every company. Our strengths unfold where reliability, complexity, and long-term impact matter. If that is your ambition – we look forward to the conversation.

We look forward to what's to come.
