Official Launch: The Blackbit Visual Page Builder Is Here - Version 0.7.5 Now Available

After a long development period, intensive beta testing and lots of feedback from the community, the time has finally come: The Blackbit Visual Page Builder is leaving the beta phase - and celebrating its official launch!

Editorial Notice (March 2026): Development of the Blackbit Visual Page Builder has been discontinued. The plugin is no longer available for purchase and will not receive further updates or support. Existing installations may continue to be used at your own risk.

With version 0.7.5, we are releasing the first stable version of our Visual Page Builder for Pimcore - now available directly in our store at shop.blackbit.com and in Pimcore Store.

And best of all, it has already been listed in the official Pimcore Marketplace! This makes it even easier to access the Page Builder - directly from Pimcore, with automatic versioning and updates.

What is the Visual Page Builder?

The Blackbit Visual Page Builder makes Pimcore a real CMS alternative for anyone who values visual content editing, structured data and modular expandability.

It provides an intuitive introduction to Pimcore, especially for editors and smaller project teams - without compromising on technical depth and flexibility. The ideal solution for agencies and companies that use Pimcore professionally but want to simplify content maintenance.

New in Version 0.7.5

With version 0.7.5, our first official release is more than just an update - it's the next big step in the development of a powerful, flexible page builder for Pimcore:

• Custom Area Bricks
  Easily add your own bricks via a configuration - ideal for agencies with specific customer modules. This way, every project can be individually mapped without sacrificing the usual user-friendliness.
  
  
• Custom CSS
  Custom CSS can now be uploaded, validated and integrated on a project-by-project basis in the admin area. The code is automatically checked, cached in a browser-friendly way and updated immediately when changes are made - visual fine-tuning has never been so easy.
  
  
• Custom Perspectives
  Use Pimcore's perspective system to control who can see and use the Visual Page Builder. The tree view and configuration view can be shown or hidden for each role - perfect for editorial workflows.
  
  
• Data Extractor (Beta)
  Enablesthe use of structured data in pages - from texts and images to WYSIWYG editors. An exciting basic function that will be further expanded in future versions.
  
  

• Accessibility & European Accessibility Act (EAA)
  We take this topicseriously - and have already started to make the Page Builder WCAG 2.1 compliant. Many accessibility features are already integrated, with more to follow soon. The Page Builder thus offers an easy way to prepare Pimcore projects for accessible content - even if incorrectly selected colors or contrasts are still beyond our control.
