Last week, our team developed great things in terms of the DeepL integration in Data Director. Together with the already existing functions of the DeepL integration, this is now up to the requirements of even large companies and leads the Pimcore market.
The DeepL integration in Data Director has now integrated all the functions of the DeepL API. This allows users to utilize a wider range of translation options, significantly improving their quality and accuracy.
Thanks to the new degree of formality function, users can now choose between formal and colloquial language, which increases adaptability to different target groups.
A highlight of the new functions is the management of DeepL glossaries directly via the Pimcore backend. This enables seamless integration and easy management of glossaries without leaving the platform.
The glossaries maintained in this way are of course also available to other applications that use the DeepL API.
By managing the glossaries centrally, users can ensure consistent and contextually appropriate translations, which is a considerable advantage, especially in multilingual projects.
To further increase translation quality, the Data Director can now also provide the translation context. Information such as product description, name, category etc. can be sent to DeepL to enable a better understanding of the terms to be translated.
This provision of context leads to more accurate and relevant translations, improving the overall user experience and minimizing misunderstandings.
Together with the existing DeepL functions for the Data Director, all translation management requirements are covered:
